See also the disambiguation page Orion for other cameras with that name..

The Orion Camera is a small plastic toy camera for 127 film made in Hong Kong in the 1960s. The camera has a fixed focus f/11 35mm lens and took 4x4 images. The back, which has a single red window, is fully removable by pulling off two metal brackets that also act as anchors of the carry strap.

Variations

  • A small variation on this is labelled Orion Camera Model Simplicité ; this had a smaller and more square viewfinder and a body with flat front and beveled ends. [1]
  • Another variation was called Linda Featherweight, made of grey plastic.

Notes

  1. A shop box for the Orion Camera Model Simplicité also carried the model nº 143 (seen in an online auction)
