The Optax is a Bakelite 35mm viewfinder camera made in France by Lumière, introduced in 1948/49. The lens is a Lumière Anastigmat Altar, 40mm/3.5 in a shutter running from 1/10 to 1/200s + B & T. McKeown lists three models with the first possibly a prototype.[1]
