The Olympus AF-1 (Infinity in the US) of 1986 was the world's first weatherproof fully automatic 35mm compact camera, earning it the nickname "Nurepika" (wet flash) in Japan. It was the first in the Olympus AF series.


Specifications

  • Lens: 35mm, f/2.8
  • Close focus distance of 75cm.
  • Autofocus with focus lock button. (Hold the lock button, press the shutter release button half way down, recompose the view, fully press the shutter release.)
  • Auto-exposure with a shutter speed range of 1/30-1/750 seconds.
  • Auto-flash.
  • Film advance: Auto-load and motorwind.
  • Self-timer.

Other features: DX decoding, XA-style lens protection, tripod socket. There was also a teleconverter and close-up lens available. Requires a PR-P2 6 volt lithium battery.
