The Coolpix 5400 is a digital camera manufactured by Nikon and announced in 2003. It is part of the long running Coolpix line of digital cameras.

It uses a 1/1.8" 5 megapixel CCD sensor which can produce a maximum image size of 2592 x 1944. Images can be captured in either JPEG or TIFF. It uses a 35mm equivalent 28–116mm 4x zoom lens. It has a 134,000 pixel 1.5 inch LCD screen. CompactFlash cards are used for removable storage. Connectivity is via USB. Power is with a rechargeable EN-EL1 Lithium-ion battery.
