The Riva Zoom 75w is a fully automatic compact camera with zoom lens and built-in pop-out flash. Its focal range is from wide angle to portrait (focal length 28 to 75 mm, min. aperture 1:3,5 to 8,9). It automatically recognizes the DX-coded ISO speed between 25 to 3200 of the actual 35mm film capsule. Exposure control, focusing and film transport are fully automatic. The lens allows "macro" exposures (min. distance 40 cm), the flash different modes (off, on, automatic, anti-red-eye). Of course it has a focusing and exposure setting lock triggered by pressing halfway down the shutter release. The camera was in the market when such compact autofocus zoom cameras where already the standard medium quality viewfinder cameras. The camera has a mighty little flash, reliable automatic functions, but a slight sharpness weakness in portrait focal length and cushion distortion in wide angle focal length.
