The Minolta ER was Minolta's first step towards their SLR cameras' exposure automation. It was introduced in 1963. It offered a shutter preferred automatic exposure mode in which aperture was controlled by the builtin selenium exposure meter. It was Minolta's only SLR for 35mm film with unchangeable lens. So it had a lens like many of Minolta's old rangefinder cameras, a 1:2,8/45mm Rokkor.
