The Mamiyaflex C2 was the second development of the C released in 1958 as part of the Mamiya C series of interchangeable lens medium format TLR cameras. It was replaced with the Mamiya C3 in 1962.

The design is nearly identical to the original model with refinements in several areas. It was improved by having the focus knobs on both sides of the camera. The right hand side has distance scales for 80mm, 105mm, 135mm and 180mm lenses. While the left has a exposure correction scale. The lens change locking switch has been redesigned and much easier to use. The base of the camera has been redesigned with a longer flatter base eliminating the need for lengthy front feet.
