MAPED (Manufacture d'Articles de Précision Et de Dessin; Manufacture of Objects of Precision and Design) is a company based in Annecy, in the Haute-Savoie departement of France, set up in 1947. The firm is known to have made a metal-bodied box camera, the Précidès, in the early 1950s, as well as a simple microscope, and may have designed a plastic box camera, the Top, made in about 1960 by another company.
