Hot Lights
Continuous lighting that generates more heat than light, e.g. tungsten bulb, carbon arc lamb, halogen lamp
Cool Lights
Continuous lighting that generates more light than heat, e.g. fluorescent lamp, LED lamp, cold light

Non-continuous lighting. E.g. a flash gun.
Ring Flash
