X1 with retro style leather case image by Uwe Kulick (Image rights) |
The Leica X1 is a digital camera with accessory shoe. It is reminiscing traditional Leica camera designs for 35mm film. It has a Leica Elmarit 1:2,8/24 ASPH lens, a shutter with speeds from 30 sec. to 1/2000 sec. and an APS-format CMOS 12.2 Megapixel image sensor. It has a 2.7" diameter display, and its rechargeable battery allows up to 260 exposures, stored in JPEG- or PNG-format on SD card or in internal memory. It weighs just 286 g (w/o battery). Flash photography is possible with internal collapsible flashgun or attachable system flashes SF24D or SF58.
