It uses a 4.0 megapixel 1/2.5 CCD sensor which captures images of up to 2272 x 1704 resolution. There is a 78,000 pixel, 1.5 inch LCD display as well as EVF. Images are stored on Secure Digital flash cards. Power is with 4x AA batteries.
