The Konica Mermaid Kit is an underwater compact camera for 35mm film. It is waterproof until a maximum water depth of 5 metres. It has an inner and a waterproof outer housing. The outer housing contains a variant of the Konica Big Mini. The camera has an active autofocus, a built-in flash, motor-driven film advance, a frame format switch and a LCD display. It seems to be properly manufactured. A sports finder made of rubber can be attached to the outer housing for actual underwater application.
