Konan

Konan began in 1947 producing camera prototypes, among them the Mica Automat subminiature camera for 16mm film cartridges. In 1950 they introduced the Konan-16 Automat, a model derived from the Mica, and taken over by Chiyoda. The company became strong in the compact camera field. In 1951 it was named Konan Camera Research Institute Inc. .
