Koho
Koho was the name of the first leaf shutter made from 1936 by Olympus.
The first version had 1-2-5-10-25-50-100-150 speeds and was mounted on the last Semi Olympus I and all the Semi Olympus II. However a brochure available at Olympus corporate site advertised the Semi Olympus II with a shutter named Laurel (ローレル, modern transcription Rôreru). It was maybe the first name of the Koho.
The second version had 1-2-5-10-25-50-100-200-B-T speeds and was mounted on most variants of the Olympus Six. It was called Koho III in another brochure available at the same site.
All the Koho had a selftimer.
The name Koho is written 高峰 (Kôhô) and means "high peak" or "high mountain". This is a clear allusion to the Olympus name (itself from Mount Olympus).
