A number of variations were built which all have the same name.
German: the German-built (c.1935-37) design has a round shutter faceplate and straight struts, a 12cm f/7.7 Kodak Anastigmat lens and a leather case. It has two viewfinders - the first a folding finder incorporated into its housing and another small brilliant finder near the shutter. It also has a quick-release bar at the front of the bed which releases the self-erecting bed. The Junior 616 takes six 2½ x 4¼-inch exposures on a roll of 616 film.
British: the UK-built design was in production c1933-40. It is practically identical to the German-built model, also with a round face and straight struts, and a leather case - but only a simple Twindar lens. Like its German cousin, it has two finders - the first a folding finder incorporated into its housing and a brilliant finder near the shutter. It also has a quick-release bar at the front, which releases the self-erecting bed. The Junior Six-16 takes six 2½ x 4¼-inch images on a 616 film.
American: the US-built design was in production c1935-37. It differed from the European cameras by the "N"-style struts. The body leather is embossed with four raised ribs. Models are known with either round or octagonal-faced shutters; and either a focusing f/6.3 Kodak Anastigmat lens or a fixed focus f/11 doublet lens. This model was styled by Walter Dorwin Teague.
Junior Six-16 Series II
The Series II lacks the ribbing on the body leather, but retains the dual viewfinders and "N"-style struts. Versions with round or octagonal shutters are known, including a fixed focus model with a simple instant/time shutter.

Junior Six-16 Series III
The Series III has straight struts, a single folding viewfinder on the body, and a scale focusing f/8.8 or f/6.3 Kodak Anastigmat. The faceplate of the shutter has wide silver rings.
