The Instamatic 804 is a 1965 update to the Instamatic 800 as the top model in Kodak's line of 126 film cartridge models. As before it has a coupled rangefinder and spring-powered film advance, tensioned using a "pull tape" emerging from the bottom of the camera. The main change is adopting the then-new flashcubes and omitting the previous single-flashbulb reflector panel.
Automatic aperture control is once again controlled via a selenium meter panel above the lens, which would be replaced in 1968's Instamatic 814 by a CdS cell.
