The Kodak Brownie Starmatic was a high-end part of Kodak's Brownie Star series, made between April 1959 & August 1963. This model had automatic exposure, using a selenium meter with a sensor window on the front, opposite the viewfinder. Images were 4x4cm on 127 film.

In August 1961 there was a facelift; the Starmatic II had a two-tone grey body (in place of the black) and a two-speed shutter.
