A company called "Kobayashi Seiki Seisakusho" (小林精機製作所) was founded in October 1953 in the city of Morioka.[3] It is not known if it is the same as that described above. It became "Y.K. Kobayashi Seiki" in 1977 and "K.K. Kobayashi Seiki" in 2001.[4] It still exists today (2009) and makes various mechanical parts.
