The Semi Kelly (セミケリー) is a Japanese 4.5×6 folding camera. It is said to be a Baldax copy, with a front-cell focusing U.L.L. 75/3.5 lens and a Koho shutter giving T, B, 1–150 speeds.[1]
The Semi Kelly is attributed to Miyoshi Kōgaku.[2] Miyoshi and Proud seem to have produced cameras in cooperation, and the Semi Kelly is perhaps related to the Semi Proud, another Baldax copy.
The Semi Kelly was featured in a column of the July 1941 issue of Asahi Camera.[3] The list of set prices compiled in October 1940 and published in January 1941, also listed a camera called "Kelly", priced ¥160, among other 4.5×6 folders.[4]
