This Challenge looks like the original 1905 model but has a Kodak Ball Bearing Shutter with speeds 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100 sec. plus B and T which was patented in 1913. |
The J. Lizars Challenge plate folders were made since ca. 1898. Luxurious "Tropical" models made of mahagonny and a stereo version were available. Plate formats were 3¼ × 4¼“ or small 2½ × 3½", stereo plates were for two 3 × 3" exposures.
