After 1967, the Binghamton, New York camera-maker formerly known as Ansco began using the trademark GAF.
The Anscomatic 126 is a response to the runaway success of the Kodak Instamatic series—a simple fixed focus snapshot camera using drop-in plastic 126 film cassettes. The top of the camera has a socket for flashcubes.
