G.A. Krauss was a company trading and manufacturing photographic goods. It was based in Stuttgart (Germany) and operated from 1895 to 1991.

E. Krauss was a camera maker from the same family, but based in Paris. When Leitz named its 35mm camera it preferred "Leica" instead of "Leca" for not to collide with the name of E. Krauss' French "L´Eka".
