FED Micron - early model |
The FED Micron (ФЭД Микрон) is a half-frame 35mm viewfinder camera made in the USSR by FED . Some 110,000 were made between 1968 and 1985[1].
It had shutter priority auto-exposure controlled by a selenium meter around the lens. The lens was a Helios-89 30mm/f1.9. Early models have a hinged back and a painted ФЭД Микрон on the front; later models have engraved ФЭД on the top plate and Микрон on the front, and a removable back.
The Fed Micron 2 is a full-frame 35mm rangefinder camera based on the Micron, made between 1978 and 1986, with a CdS meter.
The Micron was superceded by the FED 35.
