The Schüler-Apparat (student's apparatus) was a view camera for 9x12 film plates. It was the beginner's small variant of Emil Wünsche's so-called Reise-Cameras (travel cameras). This camera conception seems to have been the basic one for photo amateurs and young professional photographers around the year 1900.
