The Dia Six is a Japanese inexpensive 6×6 camera. It was made in the 1950s, ostensibly by Dia Optical Co., Ltd. It is only known from an entry in Sugiyama.[1]
Description
The Dia Six has a rounded body. The advance knob is at the top left and the rest of the top plate is covered by a housing containing the viewfinder and supporting an accessory shoe on the right. The front of the body is covered by a U-shaped metal plate. The lens is fixed-focus and is marked DIANA 55mm and DIA OPT. WORKS. The shutter gives B, 25–100 speeds and has a PC synch post at the bottom.[2] The release lever is on the side of the shutter housing. The shutter plate is written Dia Six at the top and DIA OPTICAL CO. LTD. at the bottom.
