The Detrola model K was the highest-spec model of the firm's bakelite cameras for 3×4 cm images on 127 film. In 1940 the Model K was offered at a list price of USD $22.50, almost double that of the Detrola Model G. While it shared the extinction meter of the Detrola Model H, the selling point of the Model K was an f/3.5 lens, about 2/3rds of a stop faster.
