The Quick Shot is a falling-plate magazine camera made by Conley. In 1899 it was available for twelve 4×5-inch plates, or twelve 3¼×4¼-inch plates. The camera is covered with leather. It has two Watson finders, one for horizontal and one for vertical exposures. Its plate release mechanism includes a dial that shows the number of plates used, and a lever inside the camera which might have helped the last used plate to fall more gently onto the stack of used plates and/or to hold the used plates on their stack when the camera was used for a horizontal exposure. Of course the falling mechanism for used plates works only when the camera is upright.
