The Clix-O-Flex pseudo TLR camera was made by Metropolitan Industries of Chicago, the camera maker which also made the viewfinder camera "Clix De Luxe".

The front metal beauty ring is the only location on the camera with any manufacturer's labeling, other than the lens markings that are cast into the lens surround. Through different front beauty rings, this same camera is also seen labeled as Mirro-Flex, Metro-Flex, and the Hamilton Super-Flex.

The instruction booklet that is supplied with this camera simply states "Reflex Type Camera", and the photos of the camera include intentional blurring of the text on the beauty ring, suggesting that the same instructions were supplied with all cosmetic variations of this camera.

The viewfinder hood is made of polished metal that folds when when not in use. The body is black bakelite and vertically oriented. At least two variations exist: one has widely-spaced horizontal lines on the sides and a leather-effect panel around the lens; another has a diamond pattern around the lens and closely-spaced horizontal side grooves. The version marked "Hamilton Super-Flex" also includes a metal front plate surround.

The camera makes 4×3cm landscape-format exposures on type 127 film rolls. The lens is a Maestar 57.5mm meniscus lens, with a simple time/inst shutter. The back is removable for loading, and has two red windows and a large retaining knob.
