The SR mount category lists all camera bodies for Minolta's bayonets for 35mm manual focus SLR cameras. Nearly all lenses for these bayonets are interchangeable between older and newer Minolta MF-SLR bodies. But at least 2 types of these bayonets have to be distinguished:

  • 1. SR-bayonet or MC-bayonet, early and cheaper Minolta SLRs
  • 2. MD-bayonet, for the XD camera series, with full aperture control by camera
