The PowerShot S50 is a compact digital camera which was introduced by Canon in 2003, with a 5 megapixel CCD sensor giving images of up to 2592 x 1944 pixels. It is fitted with a sliding lens cover with contains within a 7.1-21.3mm f/2.8-4.9 zoom lens, 35mm equivalent 35-105mm. The display is a 1.8-inch type TFT color LCD. Media storage is via CompactFlash, and power is with a rechargeable NB-2L.
