The Canon IXUS L-1 is a compact APS camera, introduced by Canon in September 1997. It has a collapsible, fixed length 26mm f2.8 lens. The IXUS L-1 name was used in Europe; in America, it was called the ELPH Jr, and in Japan, IXY 310. It was available in silver or black finish.

The body has very small rubber buttons to control the flash, set the date & title, rewind the film and set the self-timer; the settings are shown on an LCD panel in the top. There is the usual APS P/H/C format switch, on the back beside the viewfinder eyepiece. Power comes from a CR2 3v battery.
