The Voigtländer Bessa 46 is a folding camera that takes 6x4.5cm pictures on 120 or 620 film introduced in 1938. This camera and the Bessa 66 are also known as "Baby Bessa" or "Klein-Bessa" due to its compact design. [1]
This camera had an optical viewfinder with lines (Fernohrsucher) , or a sports-finder. The shutter release protrudes from the side of the front door and retracts when folding. This camera has an automatic film stop which has to be released and the film counter must be manually reset with a slide on the front plate.
It takes 16 4.5×6cm exposures on 120 rollfilm.
Several lens and shutter combinations were made, but a "Moment" or hinged yellow filter on front of the lens was common.[2]
