This box camera of Balda seems to have been made around 1930. It was a bit more than the average rollfilm box since its double lens had two focus settings. The shifter below the Balda Doppel-Objectiv F:11 lens could be shifted from infinity to P (=portrait) position so that an additional lens element was shifted behind the front glass. The further equipment of the camera was kept simple: a pull-out lever for switching from instant to bulb mode, another for shifting a smaller aperture between the lens elements. The shutter release had a remote cable thread and a down-holding facility to simulate a T mode in B mode. Two brilliant finders and simple shutter were box camera standard. The tin camera was covered with thin black paper to give it a cheap leather surface imitation.
