The Golden Shield Corporation began in 1959, and was in the business of designing, procuring, and distributing products such as radios, typewriters, and phonographs, to name just a few.
The Argus Golden Shield was one such item, made exactly like the Argus Match-Matic C3, but "dressed up" with a metallic mylar covering on the front & back, and finished off with the Golden Shield badge.
