The Akumiflex is an obscure Japanese 6×6 TLR camera, whose maker is unknown. The name Akumi and the lens name Acme certainly have the same origin.

Description
The Akumiflex is a copy of the Ricohflex III, with externally geared lenses. The film advance is by a knob on the photographer's right, and it is certainly controlled by a red window. It is said that the back and bottom plate open separately.[1] The name AKUMI FLEX is inscribed on a nameplate placed above the front plate.
The camera reportedly has Acme Special 80/3.5 lenses and an NKS shutter (B, 1–200).[2] An ASA synch post is directly protruding from the shutter casing. The aperture scale is engraved on a metal plate surrounding the shutter and taking lens. The shutter release is attached to this plate on the photographer's right.
The only surviving example observed so far is pictured here at Asacame.
