The 1959 advertising for the Aires 35-V emphasized that this was the most technologically ambitious model yet in the Aires company's line of 35mm rangefinder cameras.[1] Advanced features included a built-in selenium meter, an interchangeable lens mount in front of a central leaf shutter, parallax-corrected brightline viewfinder, and (at launch) the S Coral 45mm f/1.5 lens as standard.
Several interchangeable lenses were offered: 35mm f/3.2, 100mm f/3.5, and eventually three 45mm options (f/1.5, f/1.8, and f/1.9).
