Rifax is the name given to a series of self-erecting folders made by Beier in the 1930's. There are 6x6 and 6x9 image format models. All take type 120 rollfilm. Focusing is done by moving the whole lensboard by means of a lever on the bed front.
One model, for either 6x6 or 4.5x6 images on 120 film, has a Trinar f/2.9 anastigmat lens in rapid computer shutter, and has a coupled rangefinder. The Rapid Compur is capable of speeds up to 1/400s. The other camera takes 6x9 or 6x4.5 sized images, and also has a coupled rangefinder. Its lens is a Trinar f/3.8 in a Compur shutter.
