Yashica 72-E half-frame camera image by René Maly (Image rights) |
The Yashica 72-E is a small half-frame camera. The name says it all: 72 exposures on a 36 roll of film. The camera is equipped with a Yashinon 28mm f/2.8 focusing lens that can focus from 0.8m to inf. The aperture can be adjusted from f/22 to f/2.8. The shutter is a Copal X with speeds of B, 8 to 250 of a sec. Film is advanced and cocked with a wheel on the base of the camera. Also on the base is the rewind release button, the film rewind crank, and a exposure counter that surrounds the tripod socket. A screw-in cable release can be inserted onto the shutter release.
