The Wittnauer Professional is a 35mm rangefinder, manufactured by Braun.
Description
The Wittnauer Professional is a 35mm range finder, with a 50mm f2.8 Wittnauer Chronostar coated lens and Synchro-Compur shutter. It has a built in uncoupled selenium light meter and an unusual aperture/shutter speed control system that locks the two values together for a corresponding film speed. This allowed the user to read an EV value from the built in meter and easily set it using the controls. The Synchro-Compur shutter offers speed settings of 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/15, 1/30, 1/60, 1/125, 1/250, 1/500 and Bulb. A cold accessory shoe provides a mounting point for accessories. The Wittnauer Professional camera was manufactured by Braun, a German company.
