The Vostok 9 x 12cm view camera was produced in the late 1940s by Novosibirsky Pribori Zavod (NPZ; Новосибирский Приборы Завод; 'Novosibirsk Instrument Plant') in Novosibirsk, USSR. Siim Vahur states (in the captions to his pictures at Flickr, reproduced below) that it is thought to be a copy of the American New-Vue camera, although the curved uprights of the rear standard of the Vostok are rather different.
