The Vivitar XC-3 is an M42 mount, 35mm SLR, marketed by Vivitar and manufactured by Cosina. It is similar to the Cosina CSR. The camera provides TTL center-weighted metering with an LED display that indicates over and under exposure conditions. The camera's electronics are turned off when the shutter release lock control is in the "locked" position. The electronic self-timer provides a 10 second delay. The camera can be converted to aperture-preferred automatic exposure with the addition of the Vivitar XC-A, an external motorized gadget that attaches to the top of the camera and physically turns the shutter speed knob.
