The TW 35 by Vivitar is a c.1986 35mm autofocus camera switchable between 35mm f/5.6 Wide Angle and 80mm f/8.0 Telephoto lenses. The lenses stay still, with the cover being moved between them, and the viewfinder is adapted according to which lens is selected. Both lenses consist of three elements in three groups.

It has a vertical, metal-bladed focal-plane shutter, autofocus (on the telephoto lens) and motor drive, but only fully-automatic exposure and no external flash connection. The shutter speed ranges from 1/30 to 1/2000 sec for the wide angle lens and 1/60 to 1/2000 sec when using the telephoto. Film speed is automatically set using DX coding.
