Description
The Vivitar Auto 135mm f/3.5 Bright Band is a lens distributed by Ponder and Best (Vivitar) in the late 1960s. Modern collectors refer to the Vivitar lens family which this lens is a part of as the "Bright Band" family because of the distinctive silver band around the lower part of the lens barrel. An earlier family of lenses based on the same mechanical configuration had a chrome nose instead of the built-in lens hoods of the bright band family, thus gaining the name "chrome nose" family. Both families are believed to have been manufactured by Kino Precision.
