Vito Automatic II

The Vito Automatic II was produced by Voigtländer and made a brief appearance in about 1963. This camera featured a speed priority automatic exposure system by using a Prontormatic V shutter with speeds of B-30-60-125-250 and 500. This camera is fitted with a Lanthar f/2.8 50mm lens. The automatic metering system uses a Selenium cell, and is located in a ring on the front of the lens. This is a speed priority exposure where the aperture ring is set in "Auto" mode and the aperture is shown in the right side of the brightline finder and on the top plate. The user can either leave the ring in Auto or move it to a manual aperture, at that point the light meter shuts down. There is a red/white indicator in the viewfinder just like the one found in Vito Automatic's which shown under/over exposure in red. The exposure meter can be set for film speeds 10 to 200 ASA.
The focusing is from 1m (3.5ft) to infinity with three-symbols in the focusing scale at 1.2m (4.5ft), 4m (12ft) and 15m (35ft) for snapshots.
This camera is similar to Zeiss-Ikon's Contessamat camera.
