To judge from your previous contributions, it seems that you like to criticize the pages made by other users. What is not entirely clear is whether you are able to contribute to this project in a constructive manner. For example you seem to dislike the page on the X-700 — let me quote [http://camerapedia.org/wiki?title=Talk:Minolta_X-700&direction=next&oldid=79375 your own words]: "this page needs help". What should I say of the only content pages that you actually created: [http://camerapedia.org/wiki?title=Medium_format_lenses&oldid=76457 Medium format lenses], [http://camerapedia.org/wiki?title=Camera_weights&oldid=75618 Camera weights] and [http://camerapedia.org/wiki?title=Quotes&oldid=79071 Quotes] ? Should I really explain why ''these'' need help?

Until that day, at least you were respecting the work of others, and your "contributions", while doing little good, did not harm the contents. Today, in [http://camerapedia.org/wiki?title=Minolta_XG_series&curid=4125&diff=79374&oldid=75749&rcid=74392 this edit of yours], you childishly disrupted a fine page on the Minolta XG, by adding an unrelated section on the X-700, containing text written on the first person. These comments should have been expressed in the talk page only, and to introduce them in the main text is mere vandalism. For that reason I decided to ban you from editing for a few weeks. Feel free to complain on the Google group, where your comments will be heard with interest.

Hello,

I received your message in the Google group, saying that the addition of a comment inside the XG page was a mistake, and apologizing for that. I have to say that you might have checked your own contribution more thoroughly, and that it was pretty obvious that the result was not satisfying. But of course anybody can make a mistake, and your apologies are accepted.

I'm currently trying to unblock you but for the moment I can't find the functionality among the admin buttons. I'll seek help from other admins and from the site's general manager.

For the three pages that you recently created and whose contents is problematic, I decided to move them to your own user space. After you are unblocked (in a short time), you are invited to improve these drafts. We'll move them again to the encyclopedia's main space when this is done. The expected improvements are: to source your statements, to make reasonably exhaustive lists ''or'' no list at all, to structure the information in a way that would be useful to the reader, and to restrain from treating any bit of sentence lying in the Internet as an interesting quote.

:The old version of the Mediawiki software used here has no obvious provision for unblocking. Thinking that a newer block might override an older one, I blocked you for one minute. That seems to have worked. Whether it actually reduced the block to one minute, I do not know. (All I see is that you ''were'' blocked for such a duration at such a time, not whether or not you ''are'' blocked.) Well, try editing and tell us. -- [[User:Hoary|Hoary]] 09:48, 30 May 2009 (EDT)
