Unomat 20B
Unomat 20B is a small electronic flash made by West German company Unomat GmbH & Co. KG from 1980s to 2000s.
The 20B is a compact unit powered by two AA (R6) size cells, with guide number of 20 m for 100 ISO speed. A hot shoe is provided for flash sync and a detachable PC cord can be connected by a standard micro jack socket at the body side.
Two versions of the flash were available - the basic Unomat 20B, manual variant with full pover flashes only, and the Unomat 20B Auto - the latter equipped with automatic exposure control (2 auto stops - 1:2.8 and 1:4 for 100 ISO, corresponding to 7.1 m and 5 m automatic ranges respectively). The automatic circuit is of a simple, not thyristor type (the capacitor has to be fully recharged after each flash) and no auto check signal is provided.
