The 20B is a compact unit powered by two AA (R6) size cells, with guide number of 20 m for [[film speed|100 ISO]] speed. A hot shoe is provided for flash sync and a detachable PC cord can be connected by a standard micro jack socket at the body side.<br>
Two versions of the flash were available - the basic ''Unomat 20B'', manual variant with full pover flashes only, and the ''Unomat 20B Auto'' - the latter equipped with automatic exposure control (2 auto stops - 1:2.8 and 1:4 for 100 ISO, corresponding to 7.1 m and 5 m automatic ranges respectively). The automatic circuit is of a simple, not thyristor type (the capacitor has to be fully recharged after each flash) and no auto check signal is provided.
