Tokiwa Kōgaku Kōgyō Yūgen-gaisha (常盤光学工業有限会社) was a Japanese. Its name appears in 1942 and 1943 advertisements for the Zeitax II and III[1] It was based in Tokyo.[2] There is perhaps a relationship with Motodori and Nissan Kōgaku, see the discussion in the Zeitax page.
McKeown also mentions a Tokiwa Hand camera as "made by Kuribayashi for Tokiwa Kōgaku".[3]
There is a company called K.K. Tokiwa Kōgaku (株式会社ときわ光学) existing today but it was founded in 1956.[4]
It is unknown if this company is related with Tokiwa Seiki who made the First Six and Firstflex cameras.
