Hmmm, the photo on this page is linked from another site. That's not generally accepted as web-friendly, as it eats other people's hard-earned bandwidth. Do we have a policy about linking images? Do we want one? Is it possible to copy images and store them on the camerapedia server?

For shure ... but the image is a link from the same site of the references page. This provide more trafic for the site of the image link ... try to see for this side ... i think it is a benefit to the owner site ... or not?

If we have space to keep photos in the server would be excellent !

Deep links are not allowed - see our copyright page - linked at the bottom of every editing page. This is of no benefit to the owner of the site hosting the image - a benefit is linking to his page, stealing his bandwidth by deep linking to his pictures is not allowed. The facility to upload our own pictures will be added soon. In the meantime take some time to take your own pictures of your own cameras ready to up load. It is not only about bandwidth; if someone has taken the time to take pictures to illustrate his site it is not fair to take those pictures without permission.
