wrong date?

The Sensorex was the first 35mm SLR with TTL metering. As the Pentax Spotmatic appeared ine in 1963 or 1964, the Sensorex could not have been introduced in 1967. Someone needs to check this. William Sommerwerck 11:12, 26 January 2010 (EST)

Miranda, Miranda Sensorex information/history

I purchased a Miranda Sensorex in 1968 (or was it 1967?...:). in large measure due to the very positive report in Consumer Reports that year. It was NOT the first TTL camera - my neighbor had another brand SLR with a TTL metering system, also match needle.

The Sensorex _did_ have a center weighted light meter, which I believe was new to the industry as well as unique.

There may be useful additional information at the Miranda Historical Society web site, http://www.mirandacamera.com/. However, they have not up0dated the site since 2004, and I have not heard back from them when I queried.

They claim that the Miranda Company ceased production in 1978.
